2i Canoe Trip 2025

After a long and dry August/early September, the weather suddenly shifted, and we had a very rainy day on the day of our traditional 2i canoe trip on Mølleåen.
Not only were the weather conditions bad, but two teachers had also fallen ill, and we therefore had to call in reserves, so that we had three canoes with teachers (AM, Ja, SaH, Lu, Mar) and our new student worker SMB. Luckily, it did not thunder, or we would have called off the trip.

Since it was only raining, we decided to get on the water. Normally, we sail all the way to Øresund, but because of the horrible weather, we decided to make a shorter trip this year. Since there was very little wind, we decided to travel upstream to Frederiksdal and on to Lake Fure to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the southern coastline of the lake.
We stopped at the Furesø Marina where we had lunch and then went back to Nybro to return the canoes. Upon arrival, the rain had stopped, and we could enjoy some moments of sunshine before our debriefing and departure by bus.

Despite the poor weather, 2i showed themselves to be real troopers and had great fun despite how wet we all were.
