Nørre Gymnasium’s 2026 TOK Exhibition 

This year’s TOK Exhibition was a great success. In keeping with the guidelines of TOK, the exhibition featured posters made by each student from the 2i cohort.

As The TOK Guide explains, “The TOK exhibition explores how Theory of Knowledge manifests in the world around us.” In this way, the exhibition strives to connect the real world to the abstract concepts that are addressed in TOK.

Given a list of 35 prompt questions to choose from, each student creates a poster in which they connect the answer they give to the prompt they have chosen to three objects from their own experience.

Appearing as photographs, the objects must vary. They can be personal, but they should also be from the student’s cultural and educational experiences. 

What this fosters is diversity. No student’s poster is like any other, and so the exhibition is a colourful and even artistic event designed to end the first year of the Diploma Program with a celebration.

This year’s exhibition was no exception, and we worked to make an exhibition that connected the events of the last school year. These included work in individual subjects, personal experience, the study trip to Barcelona and CAS activities.

This year we had no less than four types of prizes: Most intellectually intriguing, most ethically engaging, most aesthetical and most exhibiting IB spirit.
