Student Exchange agreement - India

Nørre Gymnasium has established a student exchange programme with a school in Mumbai – JBCN International – the first exchanges will take place in October and November 2019. The school is a modern international IB-school and all classes are taught in English.

In October we expect that ten Indian students will come to Copenhagen and stay with the families of ten Nørre G students. In November the same ten Nørre G students will then go to Mumbai – together with one Nørre G teacher – and stay with the families of their Indian students.

When the Nørre G students visit Mumbai, they will follow a program at the school some of the days and on other days there will be excursions and guided tours in and around Mumbai. There will be similar arrangements when the Indian students visit us in October. There might also be some activities during the evening.

Who is the exchange program meant for?
All students at Nørre Gymnasium may apply to participate. The application deadline is in April of their 1.g/pre-IB and 2.g/2i year.

The dates for the first two visits are as follows:
At Nørre G:   30.9.19-8.10.19 (8 days)
In Mumbai:  18.11.19-26.11.19 (8 days)

The price for the tripis approximately DKK 5,000.- (airline ticket and visa) plus approximately DKK 500 for local transport and admission to museums etc.

Information meeting for interested students re. the 2019 trip was held by Michael Lund, Jens Boe Nielsen and Marc Hammer on Tuesday, April 9 2019.
