Revisit from friendship class
Mi casa es su casa!
In week 39, our friendship class from the region Extremadura in Don Benito, Spain, revisited Nørre G and spent time with 3u, who went to Don Benito for their study trip last year. The students of 3u had the Spanish students staying at their homes for a week - everyday, they went to school together and for one day, the Spanish students participated in their friendship class' courses. The Spanish students held a presentation on their region, and learnt to dance the Les Lanciers and the Nørre G dance in PE class.
During the week, the two classes also visited Stevns Klint and the fort Stevnsfortet, as well as Louisiana, Kronborg and Roskilde, where they were told the violent tales related to the royal tombs in Roskilde Cathedral and got to sail in viking ships on Roskilde Fjord.
In the weekend before departure, the classes enjoyed a dinner with both Danish and Spanish dishes, and toured Copenhagen with a visit of Christiania, a sightseeing trip by boat and a walk to The Little Mermaid.
It was a good, but busy week, where many students have also had a good time arranging their own activities outside of school hours.
Some went bowling or shopping, and some spent time with their friendship class' family to learn more about Danish culture or spoke Spanish with the Danish students who are learning the language.
Thank you to all of the students, teachers and parents, who made sure the Spanish students had an experience just as exceptional as 3u had last year, and who help keep in touch with our Friendship School in Don Benito.
