Debate Workshop

Monday, a group of STX and IB students participated in a Debate Workshop with Charlotte Ib from the firm "Do Debate". First, the students were introduced to the concepts formal debate and persuasive speaking.

The focus was on different elements that are important to speaking persuasively. The workshop was started with fun exercises about both content and style. After this, the topic went to methods of building an argument and structuring a speech. As the conclusion of the workshop there was a small debate in groups with equal speaking time for everyone.
