The Business Economics classes and IB Economics students were visited by Steve Ahn, founder of Leadis Tech and Lumis Games, who spoke about starting a tech company and led a workshop where students created budgets for their own startups, ran a business in a simulator, and competed against each other. The day offered practical examples of “cash is king” and involved making tough decisions about production, hiring and firing, and pricing under time pressure.
