French teacher knighted on the French Embassy

At Nørre G, we are very proud of our recently knighted French teacher, Christine Léturgie. On January 24, 2024, Christine received the title of Knight of the order Palmes Académiques at the French Embassy in Copenhagen.

Christine received the knighthood in recognition of her persistent effort of propagating French language and culture in her position as French teacher, as chairwoman of the French Teachers’ Association in Denmark, and for her participation in numerous networks and processes benefitting the propagation of French and foreign languages in Denmark.

The French Ambassador in Denmark, Christophe Parisot, spoke for Christine and handed over the knighthood on behalf of the French state and Prime Minister. The appointment of Christine was afterwards celebrated with a reception on the French Embassy.
