2v
Berlin
2023
2v's study trip focused especially on how politicians, companies and unions work with sustainability and innovative initiatives related to sustainability.
In this context, 2v visited Helmholtz-Zentrum Adlershof, where research in solar cells is carried out. Here, the class heard how solar cells can be utilised in different ways when installed on houses.
Additionally, the students visited the parliament, where Nina Scheer of the SPD gave a presentation related to energy legislation.
2v also visited Noch-Mall, which is Berlin's first second-hand mall, and thus an example of how it can be possible to recycle and upcycle in larger scale.
To investigate what it takes to have more organic and local food in stores, 2v also visited a grocery store owned by shares. Afterwards, the students were told of the actions to locally invest in sustainable food production.
The students had a good time going on a historic walk in the city and dancing Charleston.
