Graduation 2020

This year there our Graduation Ceremony took place under special conditions than usual. Due to the Corona situation, there are still restrictions, so we had to think out of the box to make the event possible and as traditional and festive as it could be.

For this to succeed, the large Sports Hall was divided into 5 separate areas to let the graduates sit class wise along with their 2 family members each and still be at the appropriate distance. We held the Ceremony in three rounds with 4-5 classes at the time.

In all, we had 318 Danish and 51 IB graduates. For the IB graduates, there is a bit more time to wait until they get their diplomas and their grades on 6 July. Our Danish graduates, however, have a grade average of 7.3 on the Danish grade scale – equal to the national average.

In spite of the altered conditions, fortunately, the graduates and their families were able to enjoy many of the usual traditions. The talented showband performed, the Headmaster gave his speech, grants and diplomas were given and, not least, the valedictorian speech given by Katinka Emilie Tang Christensen 3.w – in all three rounds!
