IB Information Evening

On Tuesday 17 January, the school opened its doors to potential future students, who wanted an introduction to Nørre Gymnasiums pre-IB and IB-programme.

On the night of the Information Evening, for the pre-IB and IB Diploma Programme (IB DP), potential future students were received by our students in the entrance, and guided to the assembly hall, in which they were given an introduction from our teachers and the school principal Mette Vedel.

The introduction was kickstarted by Nørre gymnasium’s show band, which consists of our own musically talented students, who played “Master Blaster” by Stevie Wonder.

As part of the introduction, several of the students also wanted to praise the international atmosphere of the IB program and help the future students set their expectations for both the academic level and social life as part of the IB diploma programme. As part of the IB diploma programme at Nørre Gymnasium the students must participate in voluntary activities and committees in their spare time. These are activities, which further contribute to the development and rounding of the students.

After the introduction the visitors were guided to the foyer, in which students and teachers were lined up in stalls, representing different subjects and committees. Other students acted as tour guides for the visitors, giving them a feel of the school itself as well as the learning environment.

We hope to see many of the visitors as part of our community when school starts in August. You can read more about the IB program here.
