School concert with Johnny Deluxe

Nørre G’s students have won a school concert with Johnny Deluxe
It is a tradition that Nørre G’s students are very engaged and active and are also willing to continue working for their activities outside school hours. As the new principal, it is an extra great pleasure that I, along with the Danish Red Cross, could tell all students at Nørre G that the school has won the head prize in this year’s Red Cross High school collection drive", says Mette Vedel.

A message from the Danish Red Cross to the students at Nørre G
Nørre Gymnasium has shown a fantastic commitment for this year’s Red Cross High school collection drive. More than 100 students went door-to-door collection for the Red Cross on Sunday 4 October, which makes us very proud. It means that you representing your school have collected roughly DKK 50,000 for the work of the Red Cross Truly fantastic. This is why you were included in the pool for a high school concert drawn by the artists, Johnny Deluxe. The criterion for a high school entering the competition is that the school walked 50 or more routes on the collection day, and Nørre G walked 51 routes – which is really impressive as it is actually around 900% more than in the last few years. It is really inspiring to see how our 11 student ambassadors have created a sense of community at the school regarding the collection event. Really well done.

At the Red Cross collection drive we collected in all DKK 13.5 million and of these the high school students can take the credit for 1.7 million – a really large share, and we are very proud of the great collaboration we have with the Danish high schools not least you at Nørre Gymnasium. You have really deserved this prize!
